In LA, the sheer distance between destinations means it is not uncommon to spend large chunks of your day alone driving from place to place, forcing a kind of quietness one rarely associates with a bustling metropolis of ten million. …It might be absurd to say, but the space (in such cities) allows for more thought and clarity.
